Challenge
Shale fracturing requires high pressure to stimulate the formation (Shale). Depth, deviation, temperature, high pressure are often obstacles that cementing operations and swellable packers cannot overcome.
Solution
Our Openhole Multistage shale fracturing system allows efficient and controlled stimulation operations in difficult well conditions (Up to 160 degC/320 degF). Since it is an openhole application, complex and uncertain cementing of the production casing is avoided. Once activated, the Steel Packers guarantee perfect isolation of each zone, which can be successively stimulated. Saltel Isolation Packers can also be used to isolate screens or pre-perforated casings. Either putting the well on pressure or using a straddle tool can successively expand the packers and stimulate the targetted zones.
